All soap could use a little extra time to dry. Take your
Scottish Lye Soap or your modern soap out of its wrapper and allow it
to air dry two weeks before using. It will last twice as long!
Save your soap scraps. Melt them together in a double boiler.
Add small amounts of your favorite essential oil or herb. (You'll have
to experiment to see how much is too much.) Pour into a makeshift mold.
(Small plastic food containers work well.) The next day empty mold onto
cloth. Let soap dry until useable. Voila! Personalized soap.
